We see Ghosts.
In the heart of Puerto Rico, many homeless street dogs roam unnoticed, uncared for and unloved. To the majority of the community in Puerto Rico, these dogs are like phantoms – present, yet overlooked; beings without names or recognition.
But at Puerto Rico Ghost Dog Rescue, we see them.
We stand for these "Ghost Dogs," the forgotten souls living in the shadows. We are their voice, their beacon, ensuring they're not just seen but also cherished.
At Puerto Rico Ghost Dog Rescue, we're committed to opening our hearts and doors to these souls, giving them another chance at life and love.

Jen is passionate dog advocate and the Founder of Puerto Rico Ghost Dog Rescue (PRGDR), commitment to addressing the reality of the island's stray dog and animal crisis. With responsibilities spanning both administrative and hands-on roles, Jen's personal encounters with the struggles of stray dogs intensify her dedication to providing empathetic care, facilitating recovery, and securing forever homes for animals in dire need. “Not a day passes without witnessing many stray, tired and malnourished dogs roaming the streets of Puerto Rico, this is a reality that I can’t turn a blind eye to and it is truly heartbreaking for me. That is what fuels my determination to do all that I can to help these dogs in need.”

Yami helps bring awareness to adoptable dogs through our social media platforms, with her camera and graphic design creativity, and she has a unique talent for connecting adopters to our rescues to find forever homes. She is a true dog lover with a heart of pure gold. She has an unwavering commitment and passion for the wellbeing of all furry friends.
